At home with V I N K

My own home is a place where I find my peace. There is hardly any use of color and I mainly use natural materials. It’s monochromatic and in balance. The last changes were made by Houtwerk who placed a stunning black oak kitchen with an arabescato marble surface top. I live here with my husband Tom. Almost all furniture is custom made. It feels like everything falls into place in our house where even the smallest details are noticeable and thought of.

The living room has a herringbone floor by Uipkes Vloeren and the coffeetable is placed on a rug with a used rough feel. The rug under the dining room has been made many years ago by Zaimoglu in Turkey.

The Axel soft by Montis is one of my personal favorites because of its versatility. I recommend this type of sofa often in my designs for clients. The sofa as well as other accessories have been supplied by Bij Den Dom interiors. The wallpaper in the toilet, hallway, and living room is by ARTE. Working with different types of patterns and structures makes this room interesting and surprising.

The interior is a collection of design and personal items with a modern and warm feeling.

The top floor bathroom has Mosa tiles and Hotbath faucets. The custom-built bathroom units ensure all space is utilized. The bedroom has a black antique wardrobe and a Valentine lamp by Moooi. The clear white and deep black colors give the room contrast and a balanced mood. The roof terrace was built by the Dakdokters and the HAY furniture is by Combo Design.
