The owners of this apartment enjoyed living in their home but we’re looking for some additional space, warmth, and openness.
By removing the wall between the living and kitchen, we managed to pull the two spaces together and make it a bigger space. This gave the kitchen that is made by Houtwerk a more central space and part of the overall living. The kitchen island has a different choice of details on each side so it creates more unity depending on where your view is.
For the entrance, we have changed the stairwell with new materials and design. By including materials like glass we’ve managed to create a more open calm space that fits the rest of the living area.
To emphasize the height of the hallway we’ve used a stunning lamp by DCW éditions and Élits Anguille wallpaper. The structured wall-covering ensures the hallway has a warm feeling regardless of the use of materials in the stairwell.
The wooden floor was replaced by a tile floor of 120 x 120 with alight cement texture that makes the floor come to life.
